The CEO in charge of JD international is to leave the company after 2022's Spring Festival.
Yan Xiaobing, the CEO JD international department, announced his official retirement on December 9, 2021. In JD's public announcement, Yan's leave is due to family needs and his health condition. In the same report, the company appraised Yan Xiaobing's contributions and appointed Daniel Tan as his successor.
Daniel Tan has an educational background from Singapore Polytechnic, RMIT University and Columbia Business School. He also served as senior management and senior executive in Nokia, Motorola, Sony and Huawei.
Reportedly, six senior executives have left JD in 2021. This situation might relate to the incumbent president of the JD group. What direction the newly formed executive team shall lead JD in is to be prudently watched and scrutinized by investors.
