The firm witnessed surging revenues in mobile games and overseas businesses

Chinese game developer 37 Interactive Entertainment (002555) (Chinese: 三七互娱) recorded a revenue of CNY 16.216 billion (USD 2.471 billion) in 2021, surging 12.62% year on year, according to its financial report filed on April 25.
The firm also reported a net profit attributable to owners of the parent company of CNY 2.876 billion last year, up 4.15% over 2020.
The company's revenue comes mainly from the R&D and distribution business. Its distribution covers web and mobile game operations and overseas businesses.
Specifically, revenue from its mobile games stood at CNY 15.364 billion in 2021, accounting for 94.7% of total revenue. Web games contributed to CNY 829 million, or 5.11% of the total revenue.
The report also showed that the overseas income of the company achieved triple-digit growth for two consecutive years. Last year, total revenue from overseas business stood at CNY 4.777 billion, up 122.94% over 2020. Last year, domestic revenue reached CNY 11.439 billion, accounting for 70% of total income, down from 85% in 2020.
According to Sensor Tower, a mobile app data provider, the Shenzhen-listed firm was ranked in the top 10 Chinese mobile game developers for the entire year of 2021 and ranked fourth at its best.
