Founded in 2016, TS Imaging is an innovative medical imaging solution provider. Incubated by the Biomedical Imaging Research Center of Tsinghua University, TS Imaging focuses on the research and development of innovative medical imaging solutions and aims to serve physicians and aid patients with precise imaging based on the concept of diagnostic methods.

TS Imaging announced the completion of tens of millions of CNY in Series A financing recently. This round of financing was led by Zongheng Capital (Chinese: 纵横资本). The proceeds will be mainly used to accelerate the application of innovative technologies as well as to advance the registration process of Chinese Class III certificates.

The founder, Dr. Li Rui, is a researcher at the Biomedical Imaging Center of Tsinghua University. With nearly 30 years of technology development, pathological verification, clinical trials, and data accumulation experiences, Li Rui initiated the establishment of TS Imaging in 2016, aiming at transforming scientific research achievements into products. The company is dedicated to providing high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging solutions to diagnose and treat cerebrovascular diseases.

Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are the main cause of death. The "China Cardiovascular Health and Disease Report 2020" indicates that the prevalence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases continues to rise, with about 330 million patients in China.

The commonly used clinical imaging techniques for the cerebrovascular disease are carotid ultrasound, transcranial Doppler (TCD), magnetic resonance cerebral angiography (MRA), CT angiography (CTA), and digital subtraction angiography (DSA).

Pain points of these techniques include the lack of lesion information, difficult identification of vulnerable plaques, and inability to provide an accurate clinical basis for further diagnosis and treatment.

To prevent and control a stroke, it is important to identify and treat plaques at an early stage

The best solution for evaluating plaque vulnerability would be high-resolution MR vessel wall imaging. TS Imaging integrates professional imaging sequences, high signal-to-noise ratio imaging coils, artificial intelligence interpretation algorithms, and imaging workstations to form a one-stop solution from imaging to reporting, making its clinical application more standard and reliable.

TS Imaging’s main competitors include Siemens (NYSE: SIEGY), GE Healthcare, Delica (Chinese: 得力凯), Lepu Medical Equipment (Chinese:乐普装备), Wandong Medical (Chinese:万东医疗, SHA:600055) and TCL Healthcare.
