IAR Systems fully supports SemiDrive new series 9 of automotive-grade chips.
IAR Systems, a Swedish software development tools provider, announced that the latest version of IAR embedded Workbench for Arm 9.30 has fully supported Chinese auto chip expert SemiDrive's series 9 System on chip (SoC) and E3 microcontroller units (MCUs).
SemiDrive technology(Chinese: 芯驰科技) is committed to providing high-performance and high-reliability automotive-grade chips. It is the first auto chip designer in China that completed four certifications, including ISO26262 ASIL D, AEC-Q100, ISO26262 and commercial cryptography authentication.
IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm provides a full development toolchain for high-reliability Cortex-R5 core of the new 9 series SoC and E3 MCU chip. For companies with functional safety requirements (FSRs), IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm provides validation with TÜV SÜD safety certificate in accordance with ISO 26262.
SemiDrive technology’s E3 MCU can apply to drive-by-wire chassis, brake control, BMS, ADAS/autonomous driving motion control, LCD instrumentation, HUD streaming media vision system CMS etc.
The goal of E3 MCU design is to reach high stability and safety levels. Its vehicle specification is AEC-Q100 Grade 1, and the functional safety standard is ISO 26262 ASIL D.
E3 series products with a frequency of up to 800MHz and six CPU cores, of which four cores can be configured as dual-core lockstep or independent operation. E3 series addresses the high-end and high-safety-level domestic automotive MCU market.
