Established in 2015, 4U Tech is a virtual technology supplier that focuses on the development of digital human and virtual content. Its core technology is the metaverse digital human technology and "Puppeteer Virtual Factory", a real-time rapid production system of virtual content.
4U Tech (Chinese: 世优科技) closed the second phase of its Series A+ with over CNY 100 million, invested by Jetsen (Chinese: 捷成股份), TD Online (Chinese: 天地在线), Metaverse Fund 2 (Chinese: 元宇宙基金2号) and other two companies.
According to Zhihui Ji, founder of 4U Tech, the proceeds are mainly to be used for business scale-up, upgrade of digital human technology and the development of Meta Avatar Show, a metaverse platform.
2021 has been dubbed "the starting year of the metaverse," with countless players entering the market and capital flooding in. According to a Bloomberg industry report, the global metaverse market is expected to reach USD 800 billion by 2024. Flipped by the metaverse concept, a large number of startups engaged in digital human production and virtual content technology services have sprung up.
As to current virtual content production, motion capture equipment is relatively mature at present, and the key point of virtual technology is the core algorithm. Based on its unique hardware, software and underlying algorithms, 4U Tech has created a set of production systems for virtual content. Its digital human platforms have four series: consumer class, entry-level, professional and AI class, correspondingly designed for specific application scenarios of cell phone live broadcast, virtual anchor, radio and TV, and commercial advertising.
Introduced by Zhihui Ji, the company is about to roll out a virtual live SaaS platform for small and medium companies. Through the standardized and cloud-based SaaS model, the platform can greatly improve user accessibility and reduce costs, and meanwhile allow customers to enjoy effects comparable to those of TV; more importantly, the virtual live SaaS platform can be quickly applied on a large scale.
Its competitors include Vsinger (Chinese: 天矢禾念), XMOV(Chinese: 魔珐科技), WonderTek (Chinese: 网达软件), Faceunity Technology (Chinese: 相芯科技).
