SUD(Chinese: 忽然科技), a gamified interactive cloud service provider, bagged tens of millions of CNY from Pre-Series A funding round, invested by GSR Ventures.

Founded in 2020, SUD is a gamified interactive global cloud service provider. Based on the technology and content provided by SUD, developers can quickly build metaverse apps or upgrade existing apps to metaverse interactive forms.

The funds will be used for team building, ecological development, and daily operation and maintenance.

Wang Fa, the founder and CEO of SUD, said that SUD's strength comes from technology and product strength. SUD encouraged customers to develop their gamified content and use SUD's interactive platform to serve their applications, which is different from the usual SaaS services.

At present, China is giving strong support to the development of metaverse-related industries. According to the Meta-Universe Mobile Game Market Insight released by Sensor Tower, Metaverse apps generated USD 650 million in revenue in the first half of 2022, with game apps accounting for 94% of the total revenue.

The interactive platform of SUD has served hundreds of apps worldwide, which helped them reach over 100 million end users. The open platform has also brought together more than 20 professional game development teams with nearly 70 unique games that combine social and play attributes.

SUD's international competitors include Epic Games(US) and Roblox(US), and domestic ones include YAHAHA (Chinese:奥飞乐思科技), Flowing Cloud(06610.HK, Chinese:飞天云动), and Honnverse(Chinese:虹宇宙).
