GGII data shows that in 2022, the proportion of China's mobile robot export orders will exceed 25% for the first time.

In the first month of 2023, the Gaogong Industry Institute (GGII) obtained a large amount of first-hand data by visiting nearly a hundred companies in the upper, middle and lower reaches of the industrial chain.

Looking back on 2022, mobile robot companies generally face problems such as financing, difficulties in grabbing orders, delivery and payment collection.

Since the relaxation of the epidemic policy, the pressure on the upstream supply chain of mobile robots has eased in 2023, and the attitude of downstream investors has changed significantly. The factory planning in 2023 will be more active than before, and orders around the world will begin to increase significantly.

GGII data shows that in 2022, the proportion of China's mobile robot export orders will exceed 25% for the first time.

Judging from the past three years of the epidemic, the enthusiasm of domestic mobile robot companies to go overseas is increasing year by year. On the one hand, with the reduction of the overseas labor force and the increase in labor costs, enterprises’ demand for smart manufacturing and smart warehousing is increasing; encouraging domestic mobile robot companies to go global.

GGII predicts that the global mobile robot market will exceed CNY 40 billion in 2023. By 2026, the global mobile robot market will exceed CNY 100 billion, with a compound growth rate of over 36%.

In order to present the current overseas market performance of mobile robot companies more intuitively and clearly, GGII has sorted out and surveyed most mobile robot manufacturers in China, combined with public data and interviews with industry experts, and released the "2022 China Mobile Robot Enterprise Overseas Orders Top 10" list.

Judging from the companies on the list, the top companies have established global sales, operations and service centers by virtue of their first-mover advantages, and have cooperated with ecological partners to create benchmark cases in multiple fields. From a geographical point of view, domestic mobile robot companies are mainly concentrated in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and other regions.

Looking at hundreds of countries and dozens of regions around the world, the demand for digitalization and automation can be said to be endless, but it is not easy to gain a firm foothold in the vast overseas market, and companies still need to find their own positioning.

In general, domestic mobile robot companies are still following the path of first verifying the domestic market and then sailing towards the globe. In this process, product power, brand power and operational capabilities are interlinked and indispensable. With the acceleration of the going global process and the batch delivery of projects, the competition of domestic mobile robot companies going overseas will be further upgraded from competing for products and technologies to competing for global operation and service capabilities.
