CoClean (北京众清科技有限公司), a startup in Beijing, China, has recently received nearly CNY 100 million of B-round financing.
Founded in 2015, CoClean is a global technology company dedicated to "improving the living environment with technology". Co-founded by scientists from Tsinghua University and senior engineers from all over the world, it provides innovative consumer electrical products and technical solutions for the cleanliness and comfort of personal and public spaces.
CoClean has more than 70 patents around the world, and its core technologies involve particulate matter aerodynamics, air cleaning technology, and indoor environment control algorithms. So far, the company has R&D, supply chain, and sales centers in Beijing, Suzhou, Shenzhen, and Nanjing, China, and user operation and R&D centers in Seattle and Boston, US. More than 70% of the team's employees are R&D personnel, many from world-renowned universities and technology companies.
According to China Business Intelligence Network, in 2021, the market size of swimming pool cleaning robots will reach USD 1.612 billion, and it is expected that the market size will reach USD 2.286 billion by 2023, with a compound annual growth rate of nearly 20%.
CoClean focuses on the field of home environment robots. Since 2015, with the home environment as the core, it has launched a series of smart cleaning products; in 2020, it established a global brand Degrii in Silicon Valley and launched a wireless pool based on ultrasonic SLAM technology earlier this year. CoClean has won the iF and Red Dot Design Awards many times and has shipped more than 1 million units, covering more than 20 countries and regions around the world.
Swimming pool cleaning robots have attracted a lot of companies to enter the market. Representative companies in China include WYBOTICS (天津望圆) and Guangzhou Dkn (广州迪嘉). Internationally, Maytronics and Hayward in the US, Fluidra and Mariner in Spain, Hexagon in Switzerland, Waterco in Australia, and BWT in Germany are quite powerful.
CoClean's investors in this round are Zhonghai Investment (中海双创基金), Sixlens (六棱镜资本), Leading Capital (首业资本), and Wuzhong Rong Yue (苏州吴中经开区产业投资). This round of financing will be used for product research and development, brand building, and global market expansion.
