On March 19, Cainiao(Cainiao Network Technology Co., Ltd) teamed up with AliExpress to comprehensively upgrade its "5-day delivery" service, expanding the service to the core markets of Europe, the United States and the Middle East.

New service countries include Germany, France, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Mexico, further achieving "mass production". Both fully managed and semi-managed merchants can enjoy the extremely fast fulfillment experience brought by this product. This service is also applicable to e-commerce general goods and live goods.

As the world's largest cross-border e-commerce logistics platform, Cainiao has been building a global smart logistics network since 2017 and launched the standard cross-border express product "10-day delivery for US$5", which has improved the original industry's delivery time of 30-60 days. The delivery time is directly shortened to 10 days.

In September last year, AliExpress, a subsidiary of Alibaba, took the lead in launching the "5-day delivery" service in South Korea, Spain, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Belgium, which won an enthusiastic response from cross-border merchants and consumers. For example, Tracy, a British bride, received an embroidered wedding dress from Huqiu within a week and completed her wedding as scheduled; Mila, a Chinese culture enthusiast in the Netherlands, received a horse-faced skirt "original from Caoxian, China" five days after placing an order. The overseas expansion of Chinese fashion trends has given impetus. It can be said that "5-day delivery" is an important factor driving the substantial growth in order volume. According to Cainiao’s data, in the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, as the industry's first large-scale cross-border e-commerce express delivery flagship product, the order volume of "5-day delivery" achieved triple-digit quarter-on-quarter growth.

As the "5-day delivery" service has entered many countries, AliExpress has further increased its overseas investment. In March, they officially signed two Saudi football stars, Salem Al-Dawsari and Feras Al Brikan, as spokespersons in the Middle East. During Ramadan, AliExpress's huge advertisements cover the streets and major highway signs in Saudi Arabia, and more overseas consumers will feel the "China Speed".
