Foshan Company Shines at Indonesian Petroleum Association Event

At the 48th Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Exhibition (IPA Convex 2024), a company from Foshan, Guangdong Province, China, showcased its advanced oil and gas drill pipe technology.

This company specializes in manufacturing and servicing drilling tools and equipment for the oil and gas industry. According to the company’s technical assistant, their equipment can measure rock formation resistivity, aiding in the understanding of underground geological information. These devices can detect and identify resources if oil and gas are present in the area. The company offers comprehensive services, including testing, design, and assembly of oil and industrial gas equipment.

At IPA Convex 2024, the company presented a drilling tool called the hydraulic control unit main body. This tool can drill to depths of 600 to 6,000 meters, making it suitable for deep drilling operations. These pipes are made of high-strength nickel alloy Inconel 718, which, despite costing up to $200,000, ensures high performance. To guarantee the quality of the tools, the company conducts various tests, including water circulation tests, detector function tests, and high-temperature and high-pressure tests.

The Foshan company already has clients in Africa (e.g., Nigeria) and North America (e.g., Mexico) and participated in IPA Convex 2024 to expand into the Southeast Asian market. During the exhibition, they engaged with six companies interested in purchasing drilling rigs, laying the groundwork for future collaboration.

Indonesia is a key oil and gas producer in Southeast Asia, with substantial resource reserves. As global energy demand continues to rise, Indonesia’s need for advanced drilling technology and equipment is also increasing. The high-tech drill pipe equipment from the Foshan company aligns well with this market demand, presenting an excellent opportunity to enter the Indonesian market.
