TM One, the enterprise and government solutions arm of Telekom Malaysia (TM), and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd (SDEC) have announced the next phase of their strategic partnership to advance Sarawak's digital economy, digital society and government services through enhanced connectivity.
The two parties recently signed a Master Services Agreement to expand Sarawak's digital infrastructure with the aim of improving connectivity and accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies and smart services to drive the state's digital transformation. The partnership is aligned with Sarawak's Digital Economy Strategy and Post 2030 Epidemic Development Strategy.
Over five years, it will provide high-speed internet connectivity to underserved rural areas, supporting key sectors such as education, healthcare and local businesses. It will support cloud computing, telemedicine, online education and other digital solutions to further drive digital progress in Sarawak. The partnership highlights TM One and STEC's commitment to transform Sarawak by empowering local communities and businesses and enhancing government services through digital technology.
The partnership marks another milestone in STEC's commitment to drive Malaysia's digital transformation, promote industry growth through digitization and sustainability, and achieve its vision of becoming a digital powerhouse by 2030.
