The launch ceremony was attended by Kingdee Vice President Liu Zhongwen, General Manager of the International Business Center Liu Yujie, and other representatives. The establishment of Kingdee Qatar was made possible through the support of the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (Invest Qatar), and the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ).
Founded in 1993 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Kingdee is a global leader in enterprise cloud SaaS services. Over the past three decades, the company has expanded its operations to 172 countries and regions, supporting 42 languages and serving more than 7.4 million enterprises. It has also assisted over 1,000 clients in achieving digital operations overseas. In December 2023, Kingdee and QIA reached an agreement in which QIA invested approximately $200 million in Kingdee, underscoring its recognition of Kingdee’s leadership in China’s enterprise cloud transformation sector. Following a visit to Qatar in December 2024, Kingdee Group Chairman Xu Shaochun identified the country as a strategic hub for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market, with the goal of driving regional enterprise digital transformation and supporting the "Qatar National Vision 2030".
Kingdee Qatar will leverage Qatar’s Free Zone as a regional hub, providing end-to-end digital solutions for finance, supply chain, and production operations. "The launch of our first Middle East office is a major milestone in Kingdee’s globalization journey," said Xu Shaochun. "Our collaboration with QIA, Invest Qatar, and QFZ has created a crucial bridge between Kingdee and the Middle Eastern market, advancing our international growth strategy."
Sheikh Ali Alwaleed Al-Thani, CEO of the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar, welcomed Kingdee’s expansion, calling it "a key milestone in Qatar’s strategy to attract global technology firms and a testament to our commitment to fostering an innovation-driven business environment." Meanwhile, QFZ CEO H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Thani noted: "Kingdee’s presence in the Free Zone strengthens Qatar’s role as a digital innovation hub. By integrating Kingdee’s expertise into our technology ecosystem, we can accelerate digital transformation and position Qatar as a gateway for next-generation solutions, driving economic diversification and sustainable growth."
Kingdee emphasized that its Qatar office represents a strategic milestone in its mission to provide localized services to global clients through the Qatar Free Zone. Adopting a "global vision, local execution" approach, the company aims to capitalize on Qatar’s business and technological advantages, integrating AI-powered digital solutions with management expertise to deliver comprehensive, one-stop services for enterprises. Additionally, Kingdee’s expansion is expected to contribute to the accelerated growth of the software and internet sectors across the Middle East.
