Another step forward for Alibaba Cloud's generative AI solutions

On March 5, Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, announced that it will promote business proposals utilizing generative AI foundation models to Japanese enterprises and collaborate with Japanese consulting firms and system development companies.
So far, the application cases of Qwen Chat in Japan have been limited to fine-tuning (additional learning) by some emerging enterprises. Masayuki Yashino, head of Alibaba Cloud Japan, said that previously there was no systematic exploration of the needs of Japanese enterprises and corresponding development. Subsequently, a complete ecosystem will be established from model adaptation to application implementation to accelerate the penetration of AI technology in manufacturing, finance and other fields. In addition, "We will increase the number of projects using our company's models to more than 1,000 within three years."
Alibaba Cloud Japan Service Company will work with partner enterprises such as consulting and system development companies to adjust and customize models according to the needs of Japanese enterprises and jointly develop AI-powered apps. Currently, negotiations have started with several partner enterprises and will officially present proposals within 2025.
