On September 26, 2025, XPeng Motors (小鹏汽车) announced its official entry into five European markets—Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia—marking a major leap in its European strategy. Since launching its European expansion in 2021 with Norway as the first stop, XPeng has steadily advanced globalization. Its sales and service network now covers more than 46 countries and regions worldwide, showing strong growth momentum.

In Switzerland, XPeng is partnering with leading European mobility provider Hedin Group to launch the 2025 XPeng G6 and G9, with the P7+ scheduled for release in the first half of 2026. Starting from Hedin’s retail outlet in Dielsdorf, the sales network is expected to grow to 8–10 outlets by the end of 2025 and expand by another 10–20 in 2026. Hedin’s existing seven outlets will also be upgraded into XPeng sales and service centers.

At the same time, XPeng will enter Austria in October 2025, initially covering Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, and Klagenfurt, with 10 outlets expected by year-end and 20 by 2026. Markus Schrick, Head of Central Europe, said the company plans to replicate its successful German model in Austria and other new markets, achieving sustainable growth with local partners.

XPeng will also expand into Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia, with operations managed by a joint venture established by AutoWallis Group and Salvador Caetano Group. Pop-up stores will be opened in Budapest, Ljubljana, and Zagreb to showcase the 2025 G6 and G9, enhancing user engagement and brand recognition.

In the first eight months of 2025, XPeng’s overseas business grew rapidly, with deliveries in international and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan markets exceeding 24,702 units, up more than 137% year-on-year. In Europe, XPeng has become the No. 1 Chinese brand in mid-to-high-end pure EV sales. The XPeng G9 ranked first in Europe among mid-to-large Chinese-brand pure electric SUVs, while the G6 gained wide popularity among European users.

As part of its globalization strategy, XPeng continues to strengthen localized R&D and production. During this year’s Munich’s IAA mobility show, it launched its first European R&D center in Munich to accelerate innovation and localization. In July, the first XPeng X9 produced in Indonesia was delivered. In September, the Magna plant in Graz, Austria, officially began localized production, with the first batch of G6 and G9 models rolling off the line, and more models planned for future production.

Looking ahead, XPeng Motors will further accelerate its global expansion, delivering smarter and greener mobility solutions to consumers worldwide through continuous innovation and localized operations.
