The Chinese official website of electric car manufacturer Tesla shows that on September 7 the company launched a battery recycling service in China. So far, Tesla has not hyped its battery recycling service but has launched the service on the question and answer interface of its official website. The company stated in the content introduction that its service centers around the world can dispose of any batteries that no longer meet customer needs. According to the company, these lithium-ion batteries can be 100% recycled. At the same time, the company also stated that, for environmental and commercial reasons, extending the service life of battery packs is a priority over recycling. Therefore, before scrapping consumer-grade battery packs and recycling them, the company will make every effort to extend the service life of each battery pack.
