CICC released the AI special research report of "carbon to neutralization, Fang Xingwei to AI". CICC believes that in the context of China's rapid economic growth, the key to achieving carbon neutrality lies in reducing energy consumption per unit GDP, which brings greater pressure on emission reduction in energy, transportation, manufacturing and urban construction planning. AI is expected to improve efficiency and reduce consumption from multi-dimensional and multi scenario, and help achieve the grand goal of carbon neutral. According to Boston Consulting Research, by 2030, AI application is expected to reduce global CO2 emissions by 2.6-5.3 billion tons, accounting for 5-10% of the total emission reduction, creating $1.3-2.6 trillion worth for enterprises.
