The WHO office in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) announced on May 20 local time that since the beginning of this year, more than 1200 people in the country have been suspected of being infected with monkeypox virus, with cases in 18 provinces across the country, killing 58 people. According to the report, 468 cases were reported in Sankuru Province, 169 in chobo Province, 168 in Equateur province and 108 in chuapa province.
