Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group is a Chinese state-owned joint stock holding company.
GAC, founded in June, 1997 and headquartered in Guangzhou, is an automobile group with complete domestic industrial chain. Listed on the HKEX on August 30, 2010, the company's major shareholders are Guangzhou Automotive Group Co., Ltd., HKSCC Nominees Ltd and Guangzhou Huiyin Tianyue PE Fund Management Co., Ltd. Rivals that have direct and indirect competition with GAC include SAIC, BAIC, GM, Toyota, etc.
