Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! I am Yang yongping from EO company. Today, I will give a brief introduction of our views on the intelligent network connection field and the industry research report on the Intelligent vehicle cabin that we will release today.
Our definition of technological mobility is two sides of the same coin: new energy and intelligent network connection, which is defining the great changes in the whole industry of automobile mobility.
So, what kind of car is called ‘Intelligent Connected Vehicle ’？
At present, the automobile industry as a whole presents four trends: electrification, intelligence, network connection and sharing.
Some automobile manufacturers also talking about the internationalization trend. In fact, the first three trends are about the iteration and update of automobile products. Sharing， internationalization is about changes in organizational forms and channels.
How to define ‘New Kinetic Era of the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industry ’?
I think it should be seen from four aspects: intelligent interaction, intelligent driving, 5G Internet of Vehicles, and intelligent life with Vehicle.
As for intelligent interaction, many brands have added some functions of emotional interaction in the car, so that drivers and passengers can feel a kind of warmth and company in the process of using the car, making the car more "humanized".
About intelligent driving, at present, intelligent driving has reached the L2 level, which is far from the L3, L4 and L5 levels. At present, intelligent driving is mostly in the positioning and development stage of "L2+" and "L3-".
Discussions on the Internet of vehicles and 5G are still hot. Some companies are discussing the possibility of 5G’s landing, which is most directly reflected in the Intelligent vehicle cabin. Both are becoming the infrastructure of the entire Traffic Network.
About the intelligent life with Vehicle, the function of the car is to transport passengers from point A to point B. Now, the intelligent development of the car has become travel, office, life and other functions and integrated life tools.
Under the premise of the popularization of infrastructures like 5G and new energy, vehicles will get rid of the single scene of "driving" and gradually integrate "home, entertainment, work and social" as a carrier.
There are two main aspects to the Intelligent vehicle cabin infrastructure: cloud computing and V2X.
According to the data distribution of global cloud computing in 2017, it is basically the mainstream dominated by RWS, but more Tencent cloud and Baidu cloud are still doing this as suppliers, developing and changing from various levels, and having gained certain competitiveness in the international market.
Regarding V2X technology, 5G has now started to comprehensively promote public awareness, infrastructure construction and other aspects.
Maybe we'll see some real commercialization in the next few months. Now that some LABS are open to the public, you can feel the different experience 5G brings.
The second aspect of intelligent vehicle cabin technology is the chip. At present, some large manufacturers domestic and abroad, including IST, have advantages in chip making industry.
No matter in the process of transformation and upgrading of new brands or traditional OEMs, the demand for onboard chips is relatively large.
From 2014 to 2019, the load growth rate of the automotive chip industry has maintained a sustained growth, and the Asia-pacific market has occupied a considerable proportion.
The third aspect of intelligent vehicle cabin technology is human-vehicle interaction. If a vehicle is intelligent, a more intuitive feeling is "if I talk to it, will it reply to me?"
In addition to voice interaction, the emerging human-vehicle interaction also includes biometrics. Some of the interactions, facial recognition and gestures and so on, are advances in human-car interactions.
What are the challenges in the whole field of intelligent cockpit development? I think there are two points:
First, some domestic manufacturers face the challenge of entering international brands or joint ventures is more difficult.
Another is new data acquisition is relatively difficult, and there is still a big gap between technical implementation and product experience.
More importantly, technology enterprises need to understand the advantages and disadvantages of all parties in the traditional automobile industry. As a living product, vehicles need to be upgraded through self-improvement and iterative update.
About Development Trends
Trend 1: The components of the current cockpit are distributed to centralized, independent to integrated.
Now we're also talking about competition between operating systems, based on Android or some others, and there are a lot of companies that are making different screens just to kind of blend the areas together.
Trend 2: Algorithm software data will become the centre of the value chain. At present, whether it is the main engine factory or the intelligent automobile industry chain, the involvement of technology companies has brought great changes to the industry.
Trend 3: A third-party travel platform. The tool-based space will become a central form, including the existing technology giants, traditional automobile manufacturers, and new automobile manufacturers are making some layout around this concept, turning the car into a centralized mobile intelligent space integrating social, office and other functions.
