The topic of autonomous driving, robotaxis, shared mobility solutions, e-mobility, and the future of the auto industry in China raises so many questions for stakeholders. About our guests

Shi Tuo | Co-founder of Zvision

Mr. Shi Tuo co-founded the Beijing-based company Zvision in 2017 and is now the CEO and General Manager. Zvision focuses on solid state LIDAR product and technology development.

He has over 10 years of R&D experience in optical communication chips and silicon photonics industry. Before founding Zvision, Mr. Shi Tuo served as manager at Silicon Photonic Integration Department, and led the development of Silicon Photonic Integration technology. Successfully developed the World leading 100G/400G fully integrated coherent receiver and 25G Ge/Si APD other chips products.

In 2002 Mr. Shi Tuo won the first prize in the final of the national physics contest for middle school students. In 2003, He was recommended to the fundamental science class at Tsinghua University. In 2013, He received a Doctoral Degree in Physical Electronics. Mr. Shi Tuo has more than 20 integrated optoelectronic and LIDAR design patents in the United States.

Xia Zhijin | General partner of Vertex Ventures

Xia Zhijin joined Vertex Ventures China in 2010 which focuses on investing in early-stage AI, advanced manufacturing and online education startups. As early as 2014, Xia identified deep learning technology as a promising invention that will significantly transform industries and our lives.

Since then, Zhijin started investing in AI technology companies, such as Master Learner (online education), Horizon Robotics (AI chips) and Geek+ (logistics automation). His portfolio companies have since become leaders in their respective industries. He also made successful investments in the Mobile Internet sector, including 91 Wireless, the largest mobile APP distribution platform that was acquired by Baidu for US$1.9B in 2013.

Prior to joining Vertex Ventures, he spent over three years doing research at Technicolor, a technology and media company based in Reno France and Hollywood, where he specialized in video coding and crowd simulation. Xia Zhijin obtained his Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.

Sebastian Chrobok | Co-founder of Evoke Electric Motorcycles

Born in Poland, Sebastian is the co-founder of Evoke Electric Motorcycles and has been a gearhead fixing engines since a young age. He also has experience working in Asia in brand development, education and on other personal projects. Sebastian is a visionary and entrepreneur at heart with a knack for market demand and future opportunities.

Feng Linyan | Senior analyst at EqualOcean

Feng Linyan is a senior analyst at EqualOcean and is the host of this panel. Ms. Feng covers the Automotive, Logistics and Enterprise tech innovations in China and has published two reports, one on the ride-hailing firm DiDi Chuxing and the other on China's current 2B ecosystem.

She has previous experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm and a fund of funds firm and joined EqualOcean in September 2018. Linyan is an alumni of Renmin University of China, with a B.S. in Economics.
