The management of Ant Group had undergone a new round of adjustments recently which forced Hu Xi to step down as the CTO of Ant Group just seven months after taking it. An Ali insider revealed that Hu Xi’s last day in Ali was August 22.

It is worth mentioning that in the 20-F file submitted by Alibaba to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on July 9, Hu Xi is among the 36.

10 years after joining Ali, in 2017, Hu Xi was officially promoted to partner of the firm. When announcing the addition of Hu Xi as a partner, Alibaba stated that "Hu has been devoted to the creation and development of the Ant Financial's basic technology platform for nine years, and is an outstanding technology leader of Alibaba and Ant Financial."

In addition, compared with the prospectus submitted by Alibaba to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on November 13, 2019, Alibaba's chief legal officer and company secretary Timothy A.Steinert is also no longer on the list of partners.
