On April 23, another high-end Internet talent joined Huolala. Yin Bingbing, former operation director of Meituan Distribution Division, joined Huolala as vice president of transportation capacity. He will be fully responsible for the management and operation of platform drivers and will directly report to Zhou Shengfu, founder and CEO.

By the end of 2020, Huolala completed an E round of financing at USD 515 million. Subsequently, many media revealed that it had completed an F round of USD 1.5 billion, with a post-investment valuation of USD 10 billion.

Yin Bingbing said that there are three reasons for joining Huolala: it has the correct industry track, an enterprise with good development trends and a pragmatic and efficient team. As truck drivers and delivery riders are blue-collar groups, they have something in common in organization and management. Yin Bingbing applies the operation experience of delivery to improve drivers' overall satisfaction.

The local freight market where Huolala is located is facing a lot of competitive pressure. On the one hand, fast dog taxi, Shunfeng, Dada and other players are expanding their businesses and intruding into each other's fields. On the other hand, new entrants are constantly entering the market.

To maintain competitiveness, Huolala is also expanding its field, from intra-city freight to intra-city and inter-city freight, enterprise logistics service, moving, less than carload, car rental and sales, and after car market service. As of March 2021, the business of Huolala had covered 363 cities with a total number of employees of more than 10,000. According to the official data of Huolala, although it was seriously affected by the epidemic in early 2020, the overall business volume of Huolala still increased by 81% in that year.
