The company delivered 17,398 units in the second quarter, also the strongest quarterly delivery result ever.

XPeng's cumulative deliveries for the first half of the year have already surpassed deliveries for all of 2020, reaching 30,738 units, 5.6 times the number delivered in the same period last year.

XPeng P7 once again broke the monthly delivery record for a single model with 4,730 units, a 25 percent increase from May. Cumulative deliveries of the model exceeded 30,000 units.

XPeng delivered 3,797 P7 sedans in May, the highest monthly delivery record since mass deliveries in July 2020. This was driven by the launch of the lower-priced P7 with lithium iron phosphate batteries.

XPeng previously said the P7 with lithium iron phosphate batteries has seen strong demand since its launch in March this year. Deliveries of the model began in May, with deliveries for the month up 27 percent from April.

In March, XPeng announced the launch of the P7 and G3 models with lithium iron phosphate batteries, with deliveries of the former starting in May and the latter in April.

The new P7 is available in two variants, both with LiFePO4 batteries and a combined range of 480km.

The new P7 is equipped with Xmart OS in-vehicle intelligence system, with the lower-priced version equipped with XPILOT 2.5 + automatic driving assistance system, priced CNY 229,900.

The higher-priced version is equipped with XPILOT 3.0 automatic driving assistance system, priced from CNY 239,900.

Together with the newly released model with LiFePO4 battery, the XPeng P7 is now available in four models for sale: rear-wheel drive standard range, rear-wheel drive long-range, rear-wheel drive extra long range and four-wheel-drive high performance. Their price range covers CNY 229,900 to CNY 339,900.

The XPeng G3 is also available in a new version of the original 460i, the G3 460c, priced at CNY 149,800 after subsidies.

Compared to the G3 460i, the G3 460c has the same range, the battery type is lithium iron phosphate, and the wheels have been changed to low wind resistance.
