Under the impacts of the pandemic and regional conflicts, regional economies around the world have been confronted with disruptions to supply chains and inflation in 2022. Domestic contradictions have given rise to the call for "reverse globalization".

As a significant force for global economic prosperity and social governance, China's choice will be crucial: to firmly promote global collaboration and mutual benefit, or to be involved in the prisoner's dilemma of trade and tariff wars?

In EqualOcean's eyes, the temporary pullback in global trade and economic relations is due to the fact that they are evolving and rebuilding towards a more equal and open direction. The stability of supply chains in different regions and the international economy are interdependent among nations and regions.  This phenomenon is a testament to the high degree of division of labor and collaboration in the global economy.

According to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(2022), global trade reached a record high of USD 28.5 trillion in 2021, an increase of 25 percent on year-on-year basis. Among these, global trade in goods was USD 22.4 trillion, reaching an 18.5% increase compared with the year 2019 before the epidemic, and global trade in services was USD 6.1 trillion, representing a 22% expansion from the previous year.

Under the guidance of "dual circulation" development pattern that domestic economic cycle plays a leading role while international economic cycle remains its extension and supplement, which was proposed by President Xi,  EqualOcean will play an active role in building communication platforms for global business entities and in helping Chinese innovation companies to go global. Under this vision, we will hold a series of events in various forms.

The most recent event will be held on September 16 in the form of an offline focus panel, with guests from enterprises such as Linkedin, Chamlion Laser Technology and Insilico Medicine. We will discuss the methodology of "global business collaboration and diverse team building" against a new background from different perspectives, including those of company management and third-party professionals.
