Moxin Technology is a 3D printing company specializing in consumer-grade 3D printers. It recently completed a series pre-A funding round worth tens of millions of CNY, led by Moral Stone Investment.
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Hu Zhou, Moxin Technology (Chinese: 魔芯(湖州)科技有限公司) is a high-tech company focusing on the design and application of the consumer-grade 3D printer. It recently completed a series A+ funding round worth tens of millions, led by Moral Stone Investment. Moxin Technology will use the capital for R&D investment and mass production.
3D printing technology has received widespread attention since its introduction, and the demand for it continues to grow as people's demand for linking the virtual and physical worlds rise. However, the price of a 3D printer and the relevant skillset for installing it prevents most consumers interested in this technology from purchasing it. Chen Tianrun, a 20-year-old student of the electronic engineering department of Zhejiang University, is also the founder of Moxin Technology. He founded this company based on the belief in making 3D printers more accessible and affordable for consumers.
Based on years of technology accumulation, Moxin Technology launched KOKONI multifunctional 3D printer in March 2022. Unlike another bulky 3D printers in the market, KOKONI adopts the design of a storage box, which is only the size of A4 paper. KOKONI could achieve a printing accuracy of 0.04 mm and a printing speed of 80 mm/s. Most importantly, KOKONI is ready to use when consumers take them home, saving them effort and time installing it. It is worth mentioning that KOKONI is sold for only CNY999, which is acceptable for most people interested in this technology. Chen Tianrun said, "Even though the technology behind this product is advanced, Moxin Technology aims to lower the barrier to using consumer-grade 3D printers."
Moxin Technology's competitors include 3D Systems, Proto Labs, FARO technologies, Materialise NV, The ExOne co, Relativity Space, Axial3D, Fluicell, Velo3D and Nexa3D.
