Inventchip Technology announced that it has completed hundreds of millions of yuan in Series B financing. This round of financing was led by Guofang Innovation, followed by Guozhong Capital, Lingang New Area Fund, Gold Stone Investment, Zhongding Capital, Changshi Capital, and many other institutions. Existing shareholders Linxin Investment, Lightspeed China, and GF Xinde also participated.

Inventchip Technology had just received hundreds of millions of CNY from the series Pre-B round of financing at the end of 2022. Investors included strategic direct investment funds, Shangqi Capital, Xinghang Capital, etc. The financing funds were mainly used for Inventchip Technology Yiwu SiC wafers The continuous expansion of the factory, operation, and continuous investment in research and development. At the beginning of 2022, Sunchip Electronics also obtained strategic financing for exclusive investment.

To this end, Inventchip Technology has planned three major product lines of silicon carbide MOSFET, SBD, and driver IC, and has successively developed and mass-produced a series of products designed according to automotive standards, including 650V-1200V silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFET, 1200V Silicon carbide (SiC) Schottky diodes (SBD), SiC dedicated gate drive chips, etc., many of which have obtained automotive grade (AEC-Q) certification and have been applied in batches.

At present, the rapid development of new energy vehicles has greatly increased the demand for silicon carbide devices. In order to further improve the power performance of electric vehicles, major car companies around the world are generally deploying 800V-1000V voltage platforms. During this process, silicon carbide is widely used in main inverters, vehicle-mounted Modules such as chargers, fast chargers, and photovoltaic inverters. According to relevant forecast data, as more and more car companies begin to introduce SiC technology into electric drive systems, it is estimated that by 2026, the market size of SiC power components for vehicles will climb to USD 3.94 billion (CNY 27.10 billion).
