On June 28, 2023, at the Global Smart Logistics Summit 2023,Cainiao Network(Chinese:菜鸟网络)announced the official launch of its local express delivery self-operated business in Spain after a period of trial operation. At the same time, Cainiao Network has expanded its self-built delivery network in Spain, currently covering over 30 local cities, providing "next-day delivery" services in more than 20 cities, and offering "same-day delivery" services in core cities such as Madrid and Barcelona.

Cainiao Network will collaborate with AliExpress to officially launch the "Global 5-day Delivery" international express service within this year. Starting from key country markets, the goal is to gradually achieve 5-day delivery for cross-border parcels. Through refined operations in four segments: domestic collection, trunk transportation, overseas distribution, and last-mile delivery, Cainiao Network's international express service is expected to accelerate the entire process from payment to receipt by an average of 30% compared to the industry average.

Spain serves as the "global showcase" created by Cainiao Network, leveraging overseas warehouses, automated distribution centers, and six major delivery stations to cover various logistics scenarios such as cross-border small parcels, local warehouse shipments, and last-mile delivery. Cainiao will continue to upgrade its local delivery services in Spain and continuously optimize the end-to-end logistics efficiency.
