Recently, BYD's first motor roll-in-roll-off vessel, "EXPLORER NO.1", has held delivery ceremonies at Yantai Port in Shandong Province and Shenshan Xiaomo International Logistics Port and completed the loading of new energy vehicles. At present, the ship has set sail for the port of Vlissingen located in Netherlands and the port of Bremerhaven in Germany. Equipped with 7,000 standard parking spots and the latest LNG dual fuel power technology, this car roll-in-roll-off ship is expected to meet the varied demands of multiple routes.

With the growing export of new energy vehicles in recent years, China's 2023 automobile export volume has reached over 5 million units, making itself the largest automobile exporting country worldwide, driving the rapid growth of related international shipping markets. This time, the voyage not only represents BYD's breakthrough in the global automotive transportation field, but demonstrates the rise and development of China's manufacturing industry. According to BYD, within the next two years, the company will put seven roll-in-roll-off vessels into operation, in a bid to further meet global demands.

BYD, as a Chinese independent brand, was first established in 1995. After more than 20 years of rapid development, it has now become a vanguard of new energy vehicles and high-tech in the domestic market. With expansive business reach, BYD plays a crucial role in the fields of electronics, automobiles, new energy, and rail transit. Up to now, BYD has been listed in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, with both revenue and total market value exceeding 100 billion yuan. BYD's good reputation at home, in particular its robust innovation capacity in new energy vehicle technology, has laid a solid basis for its marketing overseas. Its products, being attuned to the global trend of sustainable development, have gained recognition from environmental advocates, casting a positive brand image and earning consumer trust abroad.

However, what is little-known about BYD is that, behind the achievements of oversea marketing in recent years, lies its two-decade persistent efforts. As early as 1998, BYD had established its first overseas subsidiary in the Netherlands, venturing into electronic consumer sectors and paving the way for future expansion. Via this cross-border business, BYD has taken the opportunity to go abroad and thus built a starting point for future expansion into overseas markets. Recognizing the rising trend of new energy industry around 2010, BYD enhanced its global presence, built large-scale electric vehicle factories, and reached markets in Europe and Southeast Asia. Today, with over 30 industrial parks worldwide and footprints spread across more than 70 countries and regions, BYD has cultivated a robust commercial network that spans across six continents, with a particular focus on the promising European market for new energy vehicles which is poised to be their largest overseas expansion market.

The inaugural voyage of EXPLORER NO.1 motor roll-in-roll-off vessel marks a new stage for BYD to reach into oversea markets, which will also expedite China's automobile exports, and further stimulate the sustainable development of the entire automobile industry.
