On April 9th, XPeng Motors announced the shipment of nearly a thousand XPeng G9 vehicles to Germany, marking the company's largest overseas shipment in history. The total export value of this shipment exceeded 500 million yuan, setting a new record for the highest value of a single ship export of China's high-end intelligent pure electric vehicles. At the end of last month, XPeng Motors declared its formal entry into the German market, with plans to begin selling the international versions of the XPeng G9 and XPeng P7 in Germany starting May this year.

In the German market, the XPeng G9 is priced between 57,600 and 69,600 euros (approximately 452,000 to 546,000 yuan), offering three versions: rear-wheel drive standard range, rear-wheel drive long range, and all-wheel drive long range. The vehicle is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, with a maximum range of 702 kilometers and features dual-chamber air suspension and dual LiDAR systems. The XPeng P7 is priced between 49,600 and 69,600 euros (approximately 389,000 to 546,000 yuan) in Germany, available in three versions: rear-wheel drive long range, all-wheel drive high performance, and all-wheel drive with gull-wing doors, also boasting a maximum range of 702 kilometers.

According to the latest plan, XPeng Motors will adopt a dealership model for its sales in Germany. After sales commence in May, XPeng Motors will partner with 12 local high-quality dealers to operate at 24 retail points across the country. The goal is to increase the number of dealers to 60 and expand the retail points to 120 by the end of 2026. Furthermore, XPeng also plans to enter other European markets, including France, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

In recent years, the export of Chinese new energy vehicles has surged, making significant inroads into the European market. Chinese new energy vehicle brands such as SAIC, Hongqi, BYD, NIO, and XPeng have all sounded the charge overseas. In the first half of 2023, the sales volume of Chinese exports to Europe accounted for 39.1% of the total, with the export price of vehicles to European countries ranging between 25,000 and 35,000 US dollars. Chinese new energy vehicle brands have demonstrated strong competitiveness in the global market, especially in terms of battery, motor, and electronic control (three electric) technology, intelligent experience, and autonomous driving technology. XPeng Motors' aggressive entry into the German market sets a benchmark for other Chinese new energy vehicle brands.
