Recently, Changzhou Liyuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd completed the construction of a lithium iron phosphate plant and officially put it into production. The project is China's lithium iron phosphate cathode material project “going out” the first single, located in Jintan District, Changzhou Liyuan Source New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. investment and construction, highlighting the innovative strength of Chinese enterprises in the field of new energy.

Changzhou Liyuan(Indonesia) project is located in Kendal Park, Indonesia, with a total investment of 290 million U.S. dollars and an annual capacity of 120,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate. The above cathode materials can be used to produce power batteries for 750,000 electric vehicles with a range of more than 400 kilometers. Indonesia Lithium Source is the first overseas base project of Changzhou Liyuan and is also the world's first overseas production base of lithium iron phosphate anode materials with a scale of 10,000 tons.

Changzhou Liyuan is the head enterprise in the field of domestic battery materials, and has been evaluated as a potential unicorn enterprise in Jiangsu Province for two consecutive years, and has successfully launched a variety of products such as “Lithium Iron 1” T series, “Lithium Manganese 1” M series, “Range 1” S series and so on. It has successfully launched a number of “black technology” anode material products such as the “LiFe1” T series, “LiMn1” M series, “S series” and so on. As one of the leading suppliers of lithium iron phosphate in China, Liyuan has announced a number of production expansion plans in recent years.

At present, Liyuan has three intelligent production bases in Tianjin, Changzhou and Sichuan Suining (under construction), with a new lithium iron phosphate production capacity of more than 200,000 tons, and has launched in-depth cooperation at the capital level with well-known enterprises such as Ningde Times and Xinyangfeng. The announcement of the Indonesia plant construction plan shows that as the global new energy vehicle market continues to heat up, the battery material manufacturers located upstream of the OEMs have also begun to focus on the development of the global market.

The commissioning of the Indonesia plant not only opens the door to the overseas market for Changzhou Liyuan but also further enhances the brand influence and market competitiveness of China's new energy enterprises. At present, Indonesia has become a hot investment country for global battery enterprises. Ningde Times Indonesia battery plant is expected to go into production in 2024, South Korea's LG Chem and Hyundai Motor's Indonesia battery plant started construction this year, and Germany's Volkswagen and BASF will also invest in Indonesia's electric vehicle industry.
