The dimensions of the vehicle are 5457mm in length, 1971mm in width, and 1925mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3260mm. The front motor has a maximum power of 170 kW and a maximum torque of 310 N·m; the rear motor has a maximum power of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 340 N·m. The SHARK is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 12.8-inch central control screen, and a 12-inch HUD head-up display. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, equipped with a 360° panoramic camera and a 180° chassis camera, providing a 540° ultra-wide transparent panoramic image.

The exterior of the SHARK was led by BYD's global design director, Wolfgang Egger, drawing inspiration from the agility and dominance of sharks in the sea. The front adopts vertically stacked LED headlights, with an overall design similar to the Ford F-150, featuring a square grille design in the center. Additionally, there is a sturdy-looking crash protection plate under the front bumper, and the side fenders adopt a popular square design, with a rollover bar above the cargo bed.

The interior was designed by BYD's interior design director, Michele Jauch Paganetti, integrating the practical functions of outdoor sports with modernity, aesthetics, design sense, and robustness. It is expected to introduce the brand's latest technology, with a 540° ultra-wide field of view, combining 360° panoramic and 180° perspective chassis functions. The cargo bed will provide a large number of customized services and VTOL functions, which can use the vehicle's battery to power portable electronic devices.

The SHARK is built on the DMO super hybrid off-road platform, equipped with plug-in hybrid power and an "intelligent electric four-wheel drive system". According to official statements, the maximum horsepower of the 1.5T model is approximately 430 hp, with an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds, a maximum towing capacity of 2,500 kg, and providing three terrain modes: sand, mud, and snow. The comprehensive cruising range is 840 kilometers (NEDC), and the cruising range in pure electric mode is about 100 kilometers (NEDC), requiring only 20 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.

Stella Li, President of BYD America, stated that pickups are a very important product category. Currently, BYD is considering establishing the first production base in Central America in Mexico. The reason for choosing Mexico as the venue for the first overseas press conference is that the pickup truck market in Mexico is experiencing significant growth.
