On May 14th, over 200 experts, business and technology leaders from Latin America and China attended the opening ceremony of the Huawei Cloud Latin America COMPASS Summit, hosted by Huawei in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, China.

Under the theme "Unlocking New Growth, Reimagining the Future," participants will discuss the latest cloud technology and trends. The event focused on how to create new business experiences, foster new business models, and reshape operational efficiency based on Huawei Cloud's innovative technology. At the summit, Huawei Cloud officially launched the "CHANGE" strategic framework for four major industries: finance, government, e-commerce, and media, to help enterprises achieve new growth in the cloud.

Zhou Danjin, President of Huawei Latin America, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the digital transformation of local enterprises and announced Huawei Cloud's expansion plans in the region. He also highlighted the significant growth last year, where Huawei Cloud was the fastest-growing cloud provider in Latin America, ranking third in the region's Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) market share. The company's customer base has grown to 7,000, accumulating rich experience in adopting the cloud effectively, using it efficiently, and managing it well.

In addition to a rich agenda of keynote speeches, the summit also featured roundtable discussions in various industries such as e-commerce retail and media and entertainment, as well as the China-Latin America Business Bridge Forum. These sessions focused on advanced technologies and the challenges of going global that are of concern to the guests, promoting communication between Chinese and Latin American customers in the same industry and facilitating higher-level and broader cooperation.

In the future, Huawei Cloud will continue to implement the "Everything as a Service" strategy, adhering to the principle of "In Latin America, for Latin America," and working with customers and partners in Latin America to help achieve high-quality digital transformation and accelerate the development of new chapters in the industry.
