预制房

EqualOcean has learned that, under the supervision of Shatian Customs, a branch of Huangpu Customs, 2,840 tons of modular houses and equipment set sail from the Phase II terminal of Dongguan Port aboard the "Yinping" vessel, heading for Dammam Port in Saudi Arabia. This marks the third batch of modular houses and equipment exported from the port this year, signaling that China’s innovative technologies in the field of prefabricated housing are gradually entering international markets, contributing to housing construction and emergency relief in the Middle East.

Modular houses, often referred to as "prefabricated houses," are an innovative form of construction. This building method divides a house into different functional modules, which are produced in factories through standardized, modular, and universal production techniques, then transported to the site for rapid assembly. Compared to traditional construction methods, prefabricated houses offer significant advantages in terms of construction time, building quality, environmental adaptability, and cost control, making them highly favored in international markets.

As one of the largest and most economically developed countries in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia has seen a continuous increase in demand for housing construction, infrastructure, and post-disaster reconstruction in recent years. The Saudi government is vigorously promoting the "Vision 2030" plan, aiming to enhance the country's overall economic competitiveness through infrastructure development. In this context, modular houses, with their speed, efficiency, and flexibility, have become an important solution for addressing housing shortages in Saudi Arabia.

The success of this export project is not only an important step for China's construction industry in expanding into international markets, but also highlights the depth and breadth of cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in the fields of construction and infrastructure. In the future, Chinese companies will continue to explore more construction technologies and products that meet local needs in their cooperation with Saudi Arabia, further promoting the development of bilateral cooperation to deeper levels.
