According to TNB, the agreement was completed within an accelerated timeframe and represents the fastest ESA delivery in Malaysia to meet the critical energy needs of a cutting-edge data center. At the heart of the agreement is the signing of a Bilateral Energy Supply Contract (BESC) Head of Terms (HoT) under the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Scheme (CRESS).

The MY07 data center is BDC's newest facility and is currently under construction in Ulu Tiram, Johor, Malaysia. Once completed, MY07 will be a state-of-the-art hyperscale data center designed to meet the growing demand for digital infrastructure in the region.

Speaking at the event, TNB President and CEO Megat Jalaluddin Bin Megat Hassan emphasized the company's commitment to providing innovative and sustainable energy solutions with a customer-centric approach.

“BDC becoming the first partner under the Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Program framework is a milestone driven by our wholly-owned subsidiary TNB Renewables Sdn Bhd. Together, we are not only expanding Malaysia's data center infrastructure, but also advancing innovation, sustainability and economic growth for future generations.”

The partnership highlights TNB's excellence in delivering high-quality energy solutions and reinforces Malaysia's position as a thriving data center operations hub in the region. By integrating renewable energy through green energy partnerships, BDC is at the forefront of sustainable growth in the digital infrastructure sector.
