The transaction has an enterprise value of approximately BRL 715 million (about USD 140 million). Additionally, Hidrovias plans a capital increase of BRL 1.2 billion (approximately USD 235 million) to optimize its capital structure and enhance financial flexibility.

This sale will allow Hidrovias to concentrate on its core business and optimize resource allocation. For Chinese markets and enterprises, the restructuring of Brazil’s logistics sector may bring new investment and cooperation opportunities. Given Hidrovias’ strategic realignment, Chinese companies should closely monitor potential collaborations in Brazilian logistics and infrastructure. The Brazilian government’s active push to advance infrastructure development creates substantial investment opportunities. Chinese enterprises, with extensive expertise and competitive advantages in port operations, railway construction, and logistics technology, are well-positioned to expand their presence in Brazil and deepen Sino-Brazilian economic cooperation. Furthermore, ongoing tax reforms in Brazil are expected to improve the investment environment, providing greater convenience for Chinese investment. Therefore, Hidrovias’ strategic adjustments not only benefit its internal development but also open new pathways for Chinese investors and enterprises seeking collaboration and investment opportunities in Brazil’s logistics and infrastructure sectors.
