AI drives the transformation of the entire foreign trade link and generates incremental volume

On February 28, Alibaba.com announced that Accio, its first AI search engine for global B2B buyers, has integrated the DeepSeek reasoning model and officially launched features such as in-depth research and business exploration. This means that Alibaba.com has begun to leverage the most advanced AI reasoning model to assist merchants in foreign trade.
Accio is not only integrated with Alibaba.com but also connected to the product libraries of mainstream websites globally, including Amazon, as well as B2B-related knowledge websites and communities.
According to Zhang Kuo, President of Alibaba.com, based on the needs of buyers to assemble goods in foreign trade, Accio can achieve multi-round searches. Merchants can upload product lists if needed, and AI search helps find the most suitable suppliers to complete multi-round goods assembly. Eventually, through logistics participation in goods collection or group orders, it helps merchants further reduce costs.
Relevant data shows that currently, more than 100,000 enterprises globally are using Alibaba.com's AI tools for foreign trade. The conversion rate of AI-optimized products has increased by 52%, and the customer reply rate of AI reception has increased by 36%.
In the fiscal year 2025, Q3, Taobao and Tmall Group's new buyers and order volume both achieved strong growth. At present, Alibaba.com's AI export products have served 69,000 merchants globally, with the scale of AI-released products exceeding 8 million, and the number of buyer receptions by AI exceeding 40 million. For buyers received by AI, the reply rate has increased by 39%.
On February 24, Alibaba CEO Wu Yongming announced that in the next three years, more than CNY 380 billion will be invested in the construction of cloud and AI hardware infrastructure. As of mid-February 2025, the total number of models in the "ModelScope" AI model community initiated by Alibaba has exceeded 40,000, covering multiple fields such as LLM, dialogue, voice, text-to-image, and image-to-video, serving more than 10 million developers. 80% of Chinese technology companies, 65% of specialized, refined, special, and new "little giants" enterprises, and 60% of A-share listed companies are using Alibaba Cloud services.
