Geely Provides Locally Produced Emgrand Models as Official Vehicles for Egypt

Geely Auto’s Egyptian partner, Abou Ghaly Motors, has officially announced a collaboration with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) to supply 150 locally assembled Geely Emgrand sedans as the bank’s official vehicles. The first batch of cars was delivered at the signing ceremony. NBE is Egypt’s oldest and largest commercial bank.

On January 15, Geely’s BAMC factory in 6th of October City, Giza, officially began production of two globally popular models—the Coolray (Bin Yue) and the fourth-generation Emgrand. As Geely’s first CKD (Completely Knocked Down) facility in the Middle East and Africa, the plant will drive the transformation and upgrading of Egypt’s automotive manufacturing sector, delivering world-class intelligent mobility experiences to consumers. Currently, the factory has localized the R&D and production of 14 key components, achieving a localization rate of over 45%.

In recent years, Geely Auto has been strengthening its full industrial chain layout in Egypt, covering local manufacturing, supply, and service. The company has established 45 sales and service outlets to deepen engagement with Egyptian customers. Aligning with Egypt’s "Vision 2030," Geely is actively enhancing its local industrial chain, collaborating with domestic partners to build a world-class automotive ecosystem.
