On February 12, EqualOcean learned that GrainCore Dynamics (禾芯动力), an agricultural embodied intelligence startup, has completed a multi-million RMB angel round at a post-money valuation of RMB 500 million. The round was jointly led by Yibin High-Tech Frontier Industry Venture Capital Fund (宜宾高新前沿科技产业创业投资基金) and Xiamen Guosheng Zhuichuang Robotics Industry Venture Capital Fund (厦门国升追创机器人产业创业投资基金). Within just 90 days of its founding, the company has secured consecutive investments from both local government-backed industrial capital and specialized robotics funds.

The proceeds will be used primarily for core product iteration, global scenario expansion, and the recruitment of top-tier talent.

Founded in late 2025, GrainCore Dynamics leverages research capabilities from Tsinghua University (清华大学), Harbin Institute of Technology (哈工大), Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (中国农科院), and China Agricultural University (中国农业大学). The company focuses on the R&D, manufacturing, and deployment of agricultural drones, robots, and intelligent agricultural terminals. In its early stage, GrainCore Dynamics conducted pilot projects in overseas planting and livestock scenarios, accumulating both scientific and industrial implementation experience.

The company addresses one of the most fundamental challenges in agricultural robotics: achieving stable and reliable autonomous operations in open, unstructured, and complex farmland environments. Centered on an “agricultural embodied intelligence” paradigm, GrainCore Dynamics has independently developed an integrated “perception–decision–execution” system. Its product portfolio spans drones and five major categories of agricultural robots: crop protection, inspection, harvesting, weeding, and transport. These solutions have been validated in large-scale overseas farms and are driving a structural shift in agriculture—from experience-driven labor to data-driven intelligence.

Amid global population growth and climate change pressures, precision and intelligent agriculture have become irreversible trends. Traditional automation equipment struggles to adapt to highly variable, non-standard field conditions, while high-level autonomous robotic solutions have long been dominated by premium overseas providers. With the convergence of sensors, AI, and robotics, the agricultural robotics market is approaching a pivotal inflection point, with the global market size projected to exceed RMB 100 billion by 2030.

Currently, GrainCore Dynamics’ products and solutions have been deployed in pilot farms across China, the Middle East, South America, and Africa, addressing persistent industry pain points such as structural labor shortages, low operational standardization, and heavy reliance on manual experience in crop protection. By deeply integrating advanced algorithmic models from leading research institutions with high-performance robotic platforms, the company aims to deliver scalable and quantifiable intelligent productivity upgrades for large-scale farms.

Founder and CEO Zhao Feng (赵锋) stated: “What we deliver is not merely moving robotic hardware, but intelligent agents that understand agronomic requirements, adapt to field environments, and autonomously complete tasks. Our goal is to become the standardized intelligent productivity unit for farms worldwide.”

Zhao Feng and his core team bring together interdisciplinary expertise in robotics, artificial intelligence, and agricultural science, along with extensive industrial resources and a global perspective. This combination provides critical support for GrainCore Dynamics in translating complex technologies into scalable engineering solutions and executing market strategies effectively.

As global food security concerns intensify and the demand for sustainable, intensive agricultural development grows, the need for intelligent solutions that enhance land productivity, resource efficiency, and labor output continues to rise. By redefining the core capabilities of agricultural robotics through embodied intelligence, GrainCore Dynamics is advancing rapidly deployable robotic cluster systems adaptable to diverse crops and terrains. In doing so, it is lowering barriers to high-end agricultural equipment and injecting a new wave of Chinese innovation into global agricultural modernization.
