On April 28, Geely Auto (吉利汽车) and AutoWallis, a well-known Austrian automotive distribution company, officially signed a cooperation agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, AutoWallis will gain exclusive import and distribution rights for the Geely (吉利) brand in the Austrian market.

The two parties plan to officially launch the first batch of models in the second quarter of 2026, with the initial rollout featuring the all-electric SUV Geely E5 (corresponding to the Galaxy E5 / 银河E5 in China) and the STARRAY EM-i equipped with Geely’s (吉利) latest generation Electro - Mechanical Super Hybrid System. This move signifies that Geely (吉利), following its entry into the Hungarian market, has further completed its strategic puzzle in the core heartland of Central European new energy vehicles.

The partner for this expansion, AutoWallis, is headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, and is one of the most powerful distributors in the Central and Eastern European region. Previously, the two parties achieved success collaborating in the commercial vehicle sector with brands like Farizon; this new agreement expands that scope to the Geely (吉利) passenger car brand. AutoWallis plans to simultaneously build a comprehensive sales and after-sales service network in Austria to meet the growing local demand for high-quality, long-range new energy models. Currently, over half of new car sales in Austria feature varying degrees of electrification. Geely (吉利) aims to challenge the market share of local competitors in the second half of 2026 by leveraging the E5’s global design and the EM-i’s ultra-low energy consumption performance.
