Xpeng Motors announced the official release of the Xmart OS 1.4 OTA update to G3 users in batches on June 12. The upgraded G3 (smart sharing version and premium sharing version) will open the ICA intelligent cruise assist function, marking Xpeng G3 officially enters the L2 level era in the field of intelligent driving.
At the same time, the OTA upgrade added a new violation inquiry function, and optimized parking start prompt, AI voice assistant, intelligent navigation, novice guidance services. Xmart OS 1.3 and above can be directly upgraded to 1.4; Xmart OS 1.2.1 and above shall be upgraded to version 1.3 first; The Xmart OS 1.2.1 versions will be completed together with the free upgrade.
ICA system can be activated in ACC and when the vehicle speed is more than 60km/h. Based on such hardware as forwarding camera, millimetre wave radars, ultrasonic radar and body cameras, ICA continuously monitors the position of lane markers, and actively controls the steering wheel to assist the driver to keep the vehicle in the middle of the lane.
This function is suitable for closed and unobstructed expressway and other scenarios and supports unilateral lane line identification.
In addition, Xpeng Motors also announced a formal partnership with Huami technology on its second model P7. P7 is a smart electric coupe with Internet gene. Xpeng said that P7 has four bright spots in intelligence. Integration of perception ability, can predict the needs of users and conduct natural communication with them; The Internet of everything capability can provide intelligent life services of the whole scene; The ability to evolve continuously to achieve continuous upgrades in functionality and performance throughout the life cycle.
Xpeng official said that the P7 booking channel has been opened, and users can book and obtain a number of exclusive rights through the company official website, Tmall flagship store, official account and APP. The new car will go on sale in 2019 and start delivery in the second quarter of 2020.
