The company achieved a revenue of CNY 5.05 billion, up 29.5%v compared with CNY 3.9 billion in the same period last year. The market expectation was 5.06 billion, which was roughly the same as the actual gain. The net loss was CNY 2.282 billion, up 152.43% compared with CNY 904 million in the same period last year. In this reported quarter, the average monthly active users (MAU) reached 294 million, up 31% year-over-year. The mobile monthly active users reached 276 million, up 33% compared with the same period in 2021. In the revenue stream, the revenue of advertising was CNY 1.04 billion, up 46% year-over-year. This also marks the fastest growth in the business sector in BiliBili. The average monthly paying users for the live broadcast was up 60% year-over-year. These increases benefited from the spread of live broadcasts and its updated membership service.
The game and e-commerce business grew relatively slowly in this reported quarter. The revenue of this sector increased by 16% year-over-year. It was CNY 1.36 billion. And BiliBili is planning to update 3 new game versions in June, and will also launch 3 new games in the oversea market. The update and release of new games might contribute more to the revenue of this sector for the next quarter.
