Beijing Datablau Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Datablau) has completed its Series B financing on August 8th. The round was led by Koala Fund(Chinese:考拉基金), with existing investor Linear Capital(Chinese:线性资本)participating, and Index Capital acting as the exclusive financial advisor.

Established in 2016, Datablau is a provider of data asset management software and services. It offers a full-stack data governance product and consulting implementation services to enterprises, covering pre-model control, post-data asset inventory, and data asset value output.

In 2021, Datablau officially completed the layout of four major platforms: Datablau DDM (Data Model Management Platform), DAM (Data Asset Management Platform), DDC (Data Asset Directory Service Platform), and DDS (Data Security Management Platform). This year, it has released version 6.5, which not only optimizes and iterates on existing functionalities but also introduces new feature modules and achieves compatibility with the digital creation ecosystem.

According to IDC's recent report on the "China Data Governance Market Share, 2022," although the growth rate of the data governance market declined in 2022 due to the impact of the pandemic, the data solution market still grew by 7.4% compared to 2021. Currently, artificial intelligence technology has entered a new stage of development, and the importance of data governance, as a prerequisite for the implementation of AI applications, has once again been highlighted.

With its international product capabilities and leading digital solutions, Datablau was invited to jointly launch the Enterprise Digital Transformation Alliance with Huawei Cloud APAC. It continues to deepen its cooperation with Huawei Cloud's ecosystem and collaborates to empower overseas enterprises with digital transformation services. Datablau's overseas markets are mainly distributed in the Asia-Pacific region. Wang Cheng, Founder & CEO of Datablau, said, "The data market is gradually maturing, and the demand for data governance from various industries and enterprise customers is shifting from addressing immediate problems to building a systematic approach." He stated that this has been the foundation for Datablau's cross-industry market expansion in recent years and also provides momentum for the company's future growth.

The leading companies in the Chinese data governance market include Ant Group(Chinese:蚂蚁金服), Alibaba(Chinese:阿里巴巴), and Huawei. Foreign companies include Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.

After this round of financing, Datablau will continue to accelerate its focus on industry layout, build a data asset intelligence platform based on large models, and further integrate AI technology with core business scenarios in data governance. In addition, Datablau has also formulated plans for an IPO.
