Recently, Sunwoda (欣旺达，300207:SZ) has officially joined the China ESG Alliance, becoming one of the first companies in the global lithium battery industry to become a member of the organization.
The China ESG Alliance, co-initiated by prominent enterprises including Microsoft and Lenovo, aims to consolidate resources from various industries and experts. Since its inception, the alliance has welcomed a multitude of notable companies and NGO organizations, such as L'Oréal, Honor(Chinese:荣耀), Tencent(Chinese：腾讯), LONGi(Chinese:基隆绿能), LinkedIn, SAP, Danfoss, and Greenpeace, among others.
Sunwoda has made substantial progress in the realm of sustainable development. In terms of corporate governance, Sunwoda has strategically implemented an "ESG Management System" and established a "Dual Carbon Strategy Committee" at the top management level. It was also proactive in releasing the "Sunwoda Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality Action Plan" and formulating a sustainable development 4P strategy focusing on People, Planet, Product and Partner, continuously elevating its sustainable development management standard. Regarding environmental conservation, Sunwoda invested RMB 65,277,900 in environmental protection in 2022; in April of this year, it officially initiated a supply chain emission reduction plan, cultivating a supply chain emission reduction system and furthering the achievement of supply chain emission reduction objectives. Moreover, the company’s green factories, green products, and green designs have all received certification from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; the Huizhou Boluo near-zero carbon park was successfully validated.
