Japan's Ministry of economy, industry and technology will set up a working group with 14 domestic automobile manufacturers to discuss ways to solve the shortage of chips, according to Japan economic news. The working group will consider standardizing the chip production process as much as possible, so that automobile manufacturers can purchase components from different manufacturers. The working group will hold its first meeting as early as this month.
