Financial Associated Press, September 18 - the G20 agriculture ministers' meeting was held in the form of online and offline combination. Tang Renjian, Minister of agriculture and rural areas of China, attended and spoke, shared China's successful experience in food production with G20 members, and put forward suggestions on G20 members taking the lead in maintaining world food security. Tang Renjian put forward three proposals: first, establish a dialogue mechanism on food security under the G20 framework, strengthen policy exchange and position coordination, support the FAO and others to play an active role, and better help the transformation and upgrading of the food system in developing countries. Second, promote the transformation of science and technology to benefit all, promote the application of advanced technologies for food security, accelerate the application of digital technology in agricultural production, processing, storage and transportation, and provide more seeds, chemical fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural machinery and technical support to developing countries. Third, strengthen investment and trade cooperation, firmly safeguard the multilateral trading system based on WTO rules, reduce trade and investment restrictions, smooth agricultural economic and trade exchanges, and jointly create a long-term, stable, free and convenient agricultural trade and investment environment.
