It is reported that according to the website of the Vietnamese government, AstraZeneca will invest an additional US $90 million in Vietnam to help Vietnam improve its pharmaceutical production capacity. AstraZeneca announced in 2019 that it would invest US $220 million in Vietnam from 2020 to 2024. It is reported that Pascal soriot, chief executive of AstraZeneca, said during a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister fan Mingzheng that the company would produce three unnamed main drugs in Vietnam from 2022 to 2030.
