Yonhap reported on February 13 that an Zheshu, the presidential candidate of the opposition National Party of South Korea, officially proposed to Yin Xiyue, the presidential candidate of the largest opposition national power, to elect a single candidate through public opinion polls. An Zheshu said that so far, opposition candidates have acted in their own way. However, it is difficult to achieve the goal of replacing the old system through regime alternation and moving towards a better future through national unity by relying on the strength of one person alone. An Zheshu proposed that the two parties could jointly promote a single candidate in the by election of Seoul mayor on April 7 last year. At that time, national power candidate Wu Shixun and National Party candidate an Zheshu elected a single candidate for mayor of Seoul. The two polling agencies responsible for the survey conducted suitability and competitiveness surveys for 800 voters respectively.
