According to reports, South Korea's Samsung Electronics Union said it might hold its first strike in the company's 53 year history because the Union's demands for a raise and special summer leave in wage negotiations were ignored by the management. Samsung Electronics Union protesters said on Wednesday that they would try to save wage negotiations with management, and the strike would be their last resort. The largest of Samsung Electronics' four trade unions is said to have nearly 4500 members, accounting for about 4% of the company's 114000 employees.
