With the 5G devices on the consumer end boosting, e.g. reaching 14.06 million 5G smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2020, better and broader 5G network coverage solutions are in strong demand. ZTE Corporation (00763:HKEX / 000063:SZ) has recently marked great progress in providing network solutions and signal site construction.

As the company has revealed, on July 14 China's first commercial 5G SA Massive MIMO site with three-dimensional coverage on 3.5 GHz was successfully launched in Hunan province of China. Meanwhile, the company has also completed the 800G OTN test in innovative application scenarios, along with the Shandong branch of China Unicom.

In the foreseeable future, ZTE is quite like to continue its cooperation with China Unicom and China Telecom to develop technologies for 5G networks to mend its overseas equipment business losses.
