The fourth China Contract Logistics Innovation Summit 2020 was held in Guangzhou by Logclub on September 22nd. Specifically, the topic was finding certainty, as logistics firms face growing uncertainties in client demands, industry environments and markets.
In terms of demand, logistics firms currently require quicker delivery times, affected by fragmentation in consumption demand. As for the industry aspect, more and more participants lead to fierce competition in the logistics industry. From the global economy, COVID-19 and the worsening relationships between China and the US further resulted in a rising uncertainty index.
Facing these uncertainties, a firm should create its certainty, and technological penetration could be seen as an inevitable trend for logistics corporations to insist on. The independent reception rate of robots increased from 21% to 74% after its newest system was launched.
